Parent and Pupil Surveys

The deadline for responding to both the Parent Survey and the Pupil Survey has been extended to 12 noon on Thursday 25th May 2017.  Please complete the on-line Parent Survey and encourage your child(ren) to complete the  on-line Pupil Survey.

Thank you to those who have already responded.

Thank you to all who have responded to the Ofsted surveys so far. If you have not already done so please do complete them, links below:

Ofsted are visiting Long Ditton St Mary’s School on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th May. They would like to know what our parents and pupils think.

We would greatly appreciate your support in taking just a few moments to respond to the Ofsted surveys, preferably by 11am on Wednesday, to give the inspection team more time to consider your views.

However, all online responses will be considered that are completed during the inspection, although the free-text box facility will not be available after noon on 25th May 2017.

Both parents or carers are able to do so and all pupils should do so. Your responses will remain confidential.

Suncream and Hats on – here comes Summer

With the expectation of sunny weather all this week, please can you ensure your children have suncream already applied when they come in to school in the mornings, and also have a hat for sessions outside on the field and playground.  Thank you.

Elmbridge Music Festival of Songs, Shows and Fun

LDSM’s choir performed to its usual high standard in this year’s Elmbridge Music Festival, held at Dorking Halls on Wednesday 17th May.  Parents and carers enjoyed the concert which is a feature on all Surrey primary schools’ calendars.  The Primary Schools Festivals, which have been running in Surrey for more than 20 years, give schools the opportunity to join together and sing as one large choir.  The different areas of the county have their own concert dates and, in all cases, the music varies from classical to popular songs, including some from West End shows.

Thank you to Mrs Mayhew for running a popular and enthusiastic choir, and to all the choir members for their commitment to their weekly choir practice sessions and obvious enjoyment at this and similar events.  See ‘Photos’ for evidence!
